fall
It finally feels like Fall outside! My windows are open and it feels amazing! (The ducks and swans do not sound as amazing as it feels, but that's neither here nor there.)
I recently purchased this jacket from Ann Taylor Loft (is it just Loft now? whatever.) I love it!

While I am not quite ready for this heavy-duty of a coat, I do love love love this look from anthropologie. Love the tights and boots... Thinking about ordering the headband in the gray or white, but it just seems too early to be thinking about cold ears!
And I am making this for dinner/tohavefortherestoftheweek - YUM!

Have a wonderful week, friends!

purchases
Tucker for Target is awesome... I was tempted by this one, but for the first time in our friendship KK actually talked me out of something. Where did this sudden restraint of hers come from? Whatever, I still want it.
I got this lovely top and dress! Just my style... relaxed, chic, fun. And obviously they both look better with one more button undone. Not so much for the buttoned up to the chin look.

isn't Fall coming soon?
Sure doesn't feel like it right now, am I right? Well, whatever. I've had these saved for a while. Waiting. Waiting till I might not break out into a sweat just by looking at them again. Are these outfits super special? No, not at all. But they're cute and well, that's about all I need.
1. I go to school 5 days a week.
2. I am 1 of approximately 4 girls in my class that even wears skinny jeans.
3. There are like 75 girls in my class. That's only 5% wearing skinny jeans. Skinnies have been around a while.
4. Don't even get me started on the Converse I wear. To say I get "looks" would be an understatement.
So, because of those three things, I try to keep my outfits pretty tame.
Tame, but, "me."

Cooking Light and Not-at-All Light
Last Monday night I made dinner and dessert for myself, David and one of my bestest friends, Lauren, who just recently moved to LR. I am so glad she's here and I am excited for many more nights like that!

Dinner: black beans and Chicken and Summer Vegetable Tostadas from Cooking Light. I found this recipe last summer and it has been a favorite ever since! SO easy!

Dessert: TheBestChocolateSheetCakeEVER. Seriously. From Pioneer Woman. Not Light cooking even in the slightest bit. But oh so worth it!

-the three of us-

Wedding Bells for The Wells
I've known Robert for as long as I can remember... our fathers played on the same tennis team, so we got to follow along to tournaments back in the day. We've been friends ever since! As I said in my earlier post, I've been friends with Hil since high school. I have so many great memories with Hil and Rob! They are such a fun, sweet couple and I couldn't be happier for them.
-bet ya can't tell those are my parents, huh? sheesh-but first...
I was about to post about the wedding of one of my favorite couples - Robert and Hilary Wells - but then I realized I haven't even posted about her Bachelorette party! It was a BLAST! I have known Hil since she moved to my hometown in high school and we started cheering together. She is one of the greatest girls I know - super smart, hilarious, sweet and just downright adorable. For her Bachelorette party, 8 of us went to Dallas and stayed at Hotel ZaZa.
-of course we had games set up in the room before dinner-
-our first night we ate dinner at Dragonfly at ZaZa-

-the next morning - we lounged & mimosa'd at the ZaZa pool-
-so pretty-
-after the pool, we had her lingerie shower... i gave her a sweet moomoo.-
-the prettiest bachelorette-
-oh and for some reason Whitney decided we were having a 4th of July themed party-
